i understand the logic of having to face life or death battles to get stronger however being allowed to forfeit seems to defeat the purpose....... personally i would set up an array that allowed disciples to fight to the death but would protect the victims secretly so when they die they would get transported somewhere else till tournament is over.... allowing me to get a read on whether the winners are murderous bastards or justified kill...
